I ride for life.

For all lives, but especially those who are impacted by cancer.

During this 2021-2022 12-month Campaign I'm riding my bike over 5,400 kms (3,341 miles) on gravel roads and trails and climbing over 75,000 meters (246,000 feet) of vertical in an effort to raise awareness and funding for much needed Cancer Research & Innovation.

Let's raise $100,000 for Cancer Research & Innovation

COVID 19 has meant the cancellation of large group gatherings and important fundraising events. The inability to gather together has meant the cancellation many large fundraising events for many charities.  These events are the "life blood" of funding much needed research.   Cancer doesn't care about pandemics, it doesn't where a mask it NEVER socially distances, but the need for lifesaving research and treatments continues unabated.  This year, two years before it,  millions of dollars of desperately needed funding will not get raised unless we do something. I'm hoping to offset this shortfall the only way I know how....Riding my bike!

Why?

8 years and counting ...

Let's raise $100,000 for Cancer Research & Innovation

I'm a husband, a father, a business owner, a member of the community and I want to give back.  I've never had cancer but I've lost countless loved ones to this disease.

I want you to know that I'm not new to this Cancer research fundraising thing and with your support I believe it's possible to reach this lofty target.  Over the past 8 years I have had the privilege of being a part of the Ride2Survive team that rides 400km in a single day from Kelowna to Vancouver, British Columbia.  The Ride2Survive has been Canada's largest independent cancer fundraiser period!  Raising millions of dollars for desperately needed research and cancer treatments.  Unfortunately for many logistical reasons that ride is no longer occurring, but the creed and determination born from it continues.  So it's under that banner and with their philosophy of 100% efficiency I am taking on this Fundraiser.

Thank you in advance for your generous support.

8 years and counting ...

8 years and counting ...

Since joining the amazing organization ride2survive.ca in 2014, and participating in 7 annual 1 day 400 kms (249 mi.) and 3,658 meter (12,000 ft.) climb rides,  I have continued to find rides to raise awareness and funds for cancer research & innovation.

Since 2014, I have now ridden 3,700 kms (2,299 miles) with over 30,114 meters (98,800 feet) of climbing.

But more importantly, this has all generated over $119,671 towards cancer research and innovation as of June 23rd, 2022.

I am deeply gratefully to all of the donors, supporters and suppliers that have allowed me to raise these funds ensuring that 100% of funds raise go directly to cancer research and innovation.
